Sony brings cutting-edge technology to the value-conscious consumer with its latest VAIO K-series laptops. The K300 range rallies for the role of home entertainment centre, with all models featuring 15.4-inch widescreen displays incorporating Sony’s X-black technology. X-black screens provide a vibrant high-contrast picture compared to conventional LCD displays. Users can enjoy enhanced DVD viewing, gaming, and video editing.
The flagship K315S (£1099 inc. VAT) is powered by a 3.06GHz Mobile Pentium 4 processor, along with 512MB RAM and a 60GB hard drive. Graphics performance is boosted by the dedicated ATI Mobility Radeon 9200 GPU fitted with 64MB VRAM. The multi-format DVD burner writes double-layer discs holding up to 8.5GB of data, or up to 4 hours of high quality video. For those who require less multimedia muscle, the K315B (£899 inc. VAT) is powered by a 2.8GHz Celeron 340 processor, a 40GB hard drive and an ATI Mobility Radeon IGP 345M integrated graphics solution. Sony is refreshing its entire VAIO line up with systems to satisfy any need.
