Traditionally, Rock has been known for its high-end desktop replacement laptops, providing gaming power and features for those with a big budget.
The Pegasus 520 is a more mobile machine, weighing in at a semi-portable 2.9kg and featuring a 15.4-inch screen. Graphics performance should be impressive for a laptop of this size, thanks to the latest nVidia GeForce 9600M GT GPU.
Everyday power also promises to be more than adequate, with Intel’s Centrino 2 chipset in place, and a range of Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme processors available.
Unlike most power-packed portables, this also promises to be a machine you can use for a few hours on the road, thanks to the inclusion of a 9-cell battery. Other features include a Blu-ray optical drive, Bluetooth, and the choice of a 7200rpm 250GB or 5400rpm 500GB hard drive. Prices start at £999 (inc. VAT).
