Finding that you’re laptops hard drive is too small, too many MP3 and MPEG files, or are you simply carrying too many work files around with you?

Seagate Technology has announced that it will be expanding its hard disk line with the Momentus 5400.2 hard drive. The new drive offers up to 100GB of capacity, spanned over two platters comprising 50GB per disk. The Momentus 5400.2 hard drive is among the industry's first to offer a 100GB capacity that runs with a 5400rpm rotational spin speed. Such drives should offer up to 50 percent improved battery life over the slower 4200rpm drives. The Seagate Momentus 5400.2 will not initially be made available to consumers, but will be made available to system integrators in the coming weeks.
