NEC is refreshing its home theatre line up with the addition of two widescreen projectors designed to look elegant in any living room. The HT410 and HT510 have glossy pearl-white casings and rounded corners. They operate at a whisper level of 26dB for a distraction-free cinema experience. Features include wall colour correction and ECO mode, which extends lamp life to up to 3,000 hours.
The HT410 has a resolution of 852 x 480, while the HT 510 has a resolution of 1024 x 578. Users have a number of connectivity options with a range of ports, including DVD, digital camera, PC, TV and gaming consoles. A maximum 1000 ANSI Lumens brightness level and a 1200:1 contrast ratio will produce bright images, and a short-throw zoom allows users to adjust the lens for small rooms. A backlit remote means you don’t have to get off the couch or turn on the lights to make adjustments.
The compact projectors can easily be moved from room to room, with a weight of 3kg and measurements of 187 x 113 x 337mm. The HT410 is priced at £872 inc. VAT, while the HT510 is priced at £1275 inc. VAT. NEC has also added four high-definition widescreen plasma displays to its home theatre range: the 42VR542, 42XR3, 50XR3 and 61XR3.
