German manufacturer Maxdata is adding two models to its laptop lineup. The Eco 4500 A (£676 inc. VAT) is the first AMD 64-bit machine to be released by the company and is being pitched at corporate buyers looking for a roll out of workstation machines.
Base specifications consist of an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ processor, supported by 256MB of memory, 40GB hard drive and a DVD/CD-RW combination drive comes as standard. The 15-inch TFT screen has a XGA resolution and is supported by the SiS Mirage 2 integrated graphics solution.
Buyers looking for something smaller will be drawn to the Pro 600 I (£882 inc. VAT), which weighs in at a portable 2.1kg. Sporting a 14-inch TFT panel and integrated graphics, the 600 I is aimed at corporate users. Powered by an Intel Pentium M 725 processor, the 600 I is shipped with 256MB DDR SDRAM and 40GB hard drive as standard. Three year warranty comes as standard with all Maxdata laptops.
