Sony is refreshing its entire range of VAIO products, and the ultraportable T1 laptop represents the pinnacle of its technological innovation. The elegant T1 range (£1,699 inc. VAT) is designed for life on the road, catering to the office and entertainment needs of the business traveller.
Professionals can view two documents at once or watch DVDs en route on the 10.6-inch widescreen display. It features Sony’s X-black technology for a more vibrant, high contrast picture compared to standard LCD screens. Connectivity is at the forefront with both 802.11g wireless LAN and Bluetooth on board, for seamless mobile communication.
Walking the fine line between portability and power, the T1 series weighs a mere 1.4kg and is equipped with the ultra low voltage 1.1GHz Pentium M processor. The system is supported by 512 RAM, a 40GB hard drive and a multiformat DVD writer. An impressive seven hours of battery life is possible from a single charge. Breaking away from traditional grey colour schemes, the laptops will be available in Burgundy or Midnight Blue. The T1 line up will go on sale in the UK starting October.
