Samsung has released its YH-999 Portable Media Centre in the UK, featuring a 20GB hard drive for storing up to 80 hours of video, recorded TV and films. It has a slim design, with a silver body only 20.5mm thick. It supports WMV video files at a 320 x 240-pixel resolution, displayed on a standard 3.5-inch QVGA LCD display. For music lovers, the YH-999 also plays MP3 and WMA audio files. A video-out port lets you view video clips on your TV or display a slideshow accompanied by music for family and friends.

If you don’t want to wear headphones, the YH-999 comes with a built-in speaker. It also has a USB port for transferring files from a PC, as well as USB-on-the-go for connecting to a digital camera for directly downloading images. The suggested retail price for the Samsung YH-999 is £399.99 and it’s on sale at Dixons stores.
