GIZMONDO GEARS UP 20/09/2005

With gamers shamelessly drooling over the Sony PSP, Gizmondo has unleashed its bigger and better widescreen model in a rally to score points. The screen has been enlarged from 1.8 inches to 4-inch widescreen proportions with 480 x 272 pixels. Further kudos are to be had with the addition of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, an analogue TV output and a beefed-up 500MHz processor. It will run the latest Windows CE 5 platform.

The all-in-one mobile device also sports an assisted GPS receiver, media player, and tri-band telephony. The Gizmondo Widescreen will grace UK shelves in the first half of 2006, with an upgrade path for North Americans awaiting the imminent arrival of the first-generation Gizmondo.
