Logic 3 has unveiled the i-Station speaker system. Now music enthusiasts can listen out loud to the gigabytes of songs painstakingly downloaded onto their audio players. It features a subwoofer to boost the bass and a 3D surround sound processor to spread the rhythm around.
The system doubles as a docking unit, allowing you to recharge your device while listening to it. It also synchronises data with your computer through a USB or FireWire connection. If you want to bring the party with you, the i-Station (£59.99 inc. VAT) is a compact A5 size and weighs a mere 400g. Four AA batteries provide portable power.
A white casing and the “i” prefix and make it clear that the speakers are compatible with the iPod and iPod mini. Nevertheless, you’re not out of luck if you’ve bought a different music player. MP3, CD, and MiniDisc players can be hooked up using the line-in port. The i-Station is coming soon to a high street store near you.
