In a bid to help the prevention of breast cancer, a special edition pink laptop has been commissioned by The Genesis Appeal, to go on sale at £675 (inc.VAT).
The Ergo Ensis S, complete with baby-pink lid and Genesis Appeal logo, runs at 1.40GHz thanks to an Intel Celeron M processor, with 256MB of memory and a 40GB hard drive. It has a DVD/CD-RW optical drive rather than a DVD-RW, but is cheaper than a lot of other machines. If you’re a fan of the colour it’s also fairly stylish, and the Ergo comes with a soft carry-case, built-in wireless card, 15-inch screen, and weighs 2.8kg.
A lot of the appeal of this machine is that £67 from every laptop sold will go to The Genesis Appeal – the only breast cancer charity solely dedicated to the prevention of the disease. For others, the appeal will lie in the affordable price and the rather overwhelming pinkness.
