The ultraportable market is the most attractive and innovative sector of mobile computing. Curious then, that the ultraportable only accounts for some five percent of current laptop sales. The main reason behind this has to be the expectations of what such a laptop can offer. It seems that most people still equate full power with a larger chassis size.

The machines in this month’s review will hopefully help to dispel this myth. With nine laptops on test, all incorporating Intel’s mobile offering, we expect improved performance as well as a highly usable battery life. The use of 3D graphics also makes an appearance in this review, adding even more functional it to your laptop. We hope that on the following pages you will find the perfect ultraportable for you.
