The AJP Z71A laptop (£880 inc. VAT) brings second-generation Intel Centrino technology and the Sonoma chipset to the value-conscious consumer. At the hub of home entertainment, it has a 15.4-inch widescreen panel, a multiformat dual-layer DVD writer, integrated graphics, a 3-in-1 memory card reader and bundled Nero software. For connectivity, five USB ports and a TV-out are on-board. A 1.6GHz Pentium M processor powers the Z71A, supported by 512MB RAM and a 60GB hard drive.

Sonoma laptops incorporate the Intel Pentium M Dothan processors using 90-nanometer technology and the 915GM chipset with a 533MHz Front Side Bus for efficient and speedy mobile operation, along with an Intel PRO Wi-Fi antenna supporting the 802.11a/b/g standards.
