After yesterday’s announcement that T-Mobile is to team up with Microsoft, the company has gone connected device crazy with its latest partnership – to bring the HP iPAQ h6340 to market in the UK.
The HP iPAQ h6340 is the first 3-way wireless device, combining GPRS, Wi-Fi in the form of 802.11b and Bluetooth in one module, as well as voice and SMS services to be released into the UK market, marking another first for HP.
Aimed at the mobile professional, the device delivers unrivalled mobile connectivity with access to full email attachments, Internet, text messaging or phone. Depending upon the coverage available, the HP iPAQ h6340 will work almost anywhere. T-Mobile offers the widest GPRS roaming footprint among UK operators, giving customers access to GPRS in almost 70 countries worldwide.
T-Mobile has also announced a new pre-pack package for use with the iPAQ, which consists of 2 hours of Wi-Fi access and 30 days unlimited GPRS access for a starting price of £10 (inc. VAT).
The HP iPAQ h6340 is available now and costs £479 (inc. VAT).
