Simplicity is the key to this miniature pocket-sized device, which has only two buttons to perform all functions (belly button optional). You can load songs and charge the player at the same time via your laptop’s USB port. The 128MB memory stores roughly 30 of your favourite tracks. If you happen to be wearing an outfit without pockets, you can string the player around your neck or attach it to the supplied armband. The Wearable is available in the US through www.target.com but there’s no news yet on a release date for the UK.
PURR-FECT STORAGE SOLUTION Feline-loving laptop geeks will be thrilled with the Cat Bar USB 2.0 memory key. You can store up to 256MB of information in a black, white, gold or tabby cat. For a lifelike AI experience, the memory key even meows when you plug it in. But these kitties are functional as well as fun. Flash Mail software lets you send and receive email from your account on any laptop, with the added security of password protection. The Taiwanese firm Panram makes these adorable devices.
SHUTTER BUGGALOO Shutterbugs and gamers alike will enjoy the playful new Sony Ericsson K500 camera phone. Fun is the focus of this device, which sports a large 1.9-inch colour screen and a joystick. The stylish blue K500 features a camera with 4x digital zoom. It also doubles as a gaming console with the addition of the Gameboard EGB-10 accessory. The colour display is ideal for viewing pictures and blasting aliens. Games, images and music can be stored in the 12MB memory. For those who like to express their individuality, an endless array of wallpapers, themes and ringtones can be downloaded. The K500 series is scheduled for release this autumn.
