The Nokia 9300 smartphone aims to make life easier for busy execs struggling to stay on top of a mountain of email. It squeezes a spacious QWERTY keyboard and 65K colour widescreen display into a graceful pocketsize casing. The GPRS-enabled phone features push-mail for receiving messages straight away without having to upload them from a server. For surfing the Net, the acclaimed Opera web browser comes installed.
If you like to make the most of your downtime with entertainment, the clamshell handset includes a Real media player. Users get 80MB internal storage and an MMC slot to save images, video clips and MP3s. The 167g device also has Bluetooth for wireless connectivity, as well as all the usual electronic organising and Office-compatible applications. Unlike its predecessor, the bulkier 9500, it doesn't have Wi-Fi or a camera.
The Nokia 9300 will be available in mid to late October at the Carphone Warehouse retail chain, price to be confirmed.
