Not one to be left in the dust, GPS specialist Navman has updated its PDA range with the PiN 570. With a built-in satellite receiver, this handheld organiser doubles as an all-in-one navigation system running the Pocket PC 2003 platform. It’s a ‘Drive-Away’ solution, meaning the software comes preinstalled. A dedicated navigation button provides direct access to the SmartST software.

Smart ST features TeleAtlas maps, turn-by-turn voice instructions, 2D/3D maps, a multiple-stop journey planner, customisable points-of-interest and direct navigation to contact addresses.

As a Pocket PC, the usual PIM software and pocket versions of Outlook, Word, Excel, and Windows Media Player are on board. Tungsten-and-graphite styling will appeal to the business set, although the absence of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi may not. An SD slot provides the opportunity for expanding features or memory.

The Navman PiN 570 is available immediately with an RRP of £279 (inc. VAT).
