Following the success earlier this year of its U100 Wind Netbook, MSI has announced the addition of three new variations to the range. Maintaining the light weight and great usability of its predecessor, the new models bring Linux software, a new colour scheme and a larger hard drive, to provide a greater choice for the mobile Netbook user.
The most basic new addition, upgrades the storage of the standard U100 Wind from 80GB to 120GB. This has had no effect on the price of this great Netbook, and the SRP remains at £329 (inc. VAT). For the more flamboyant Netbook buyer, a pink model has also been added to the range. With an 80GB hard drive and all the same specs as before, this version has an SRP of £310 (inc. VAT).
Finally, an 8.9-inch model featuring the SUSE Linux operating system preinstalled has been announced. While the previous U100 Wind featured a 10-inch screen, this model promises a lighter weight and looks ideal for Linux fans that require professional features at an affordable price. Alongside its portable chassis, it will hopefully deliver an equally strong battery life. Marking the most affordable Wind Netbook yet, it has an SRP of £269 (inc. VAT).
All models are available through prominent online resellers including eBuyer, Laptops Direct and Play.
