MV MOVES AHEAD 20/04/2005

MV is a relative newcomer to the laptop scene, but the company has been quick to make its mark. Keeping the momentum going, the company has added the Ixius 15 and Sirius AMD models to its line up.

First off, the 15-inch Ixius gaming laptop has been refreshed with a smaller chassis and upgradeable nVidia Go 6800 PCI-Express graphics. It's fitted with a powerful 3.0GHz Pentium 4 processor, 512MB RAM, 60GB hard drive and DVD writer for £1291 (inc. VAT). Bluetooth and Wi-Fi come as standard.

For the value-conscious consumer, MV has launched its Sirius range with AMD processors. The 17-inch widescreen multimedia model (£1291 inc. VAT) is powered by an Athlon 64 Mobile 3400+ processor and dedicated ATi Mobility Radeon 9700 graphics, supported by 512MB RAM and a 60GB hard drive. Alternatively, the budget 15-inch model (£586 inc. VAT) is suited for everyday tasks with a Sempron Mobile 3000+ processor, 256 RAM and a 40GB hard drive.
